Life is never what you want or expect...
NATHAN was every bar owner's dream. He showed up every day and said, “GOOD MORNING!” even if it was 7 p.m. at night, to every customer, because he actually just woke up!
He would make you feel good about yourself, and then say, “I'm busy! What you drinkin'? Be back in a min, have your order ready!”
On the other hand, he would notice a sad person and comfort them till they were feeling good, then say, “You ok? I got you... What's wrong?”
“Be back in a minute. Can you have your order ready when I get back?”
On the real, he was the best kid I ever met. He was our adopted son.
At the end, I always knew that I would miss him, 'cause for some reason I knew he was being different. He was ready to leave the building that was his family home for 16 years...
The light has gone out.
